What is the ideal amount of vitamin and mineral supplements that you can give a horse?
Is it possable to over feed mineral and vitamin supplements? our neighbors seem to leave at least half a bucket of minerals out for there horses. Its nothing like a mineral lick it looks like calcium or something. Can you over feed theses things? What can happen if you over feed? i have horses but i am just curious what you guys think. please help thankyou
What you are talking about is 'loose minerals' and not vitamins.
My guys have a bucket of loose minerals that they eat on.
They also have a TM block but they just didn't get enough from it so I went to loose minerals instead.
They munch down on it when they feel they are needing it.
Great improvement.
Currently I'm trying to find a place that will sell each mineral separate that way I can let them choose which mineral they want.
